Showcase Concert Wrap-Up

May 27th was an exciting night as we watched the culmination of a year of hard work. The 4th Annual Showcase Concert was entitled "Seasons Of..." and showcased our classes and audition winners in many wonderful performances. In addition our Middle and High School voice students performed two surprise  numbers for the audience. "Seasons Of Love" and "The Song of Purple Summer" were very well received by those in attendance.

We appreciate our "band" that accompanied many of the singers and also the group numbers. Harley Smith and Wesley Strasser added so much with guitar and percussion. Tyler Heintzen, student, helped the band by also playing keyboard and percussion.

We look forward to next years Showcase Concert as we are already planning the theme and picking out material.

At the end of the concert, we gave out awards to all participants, those who had auditioned for the showcase, National Federation of Music Clubs participants, Hal Leonard International Vocal Competition, and our Students of the Year.

Photos will be uploaded soon on Lochwood's blog

Music Explorations

This year, we are implementing the first Music Explorations (formally known as "Intro To Music") class that is open to our students and the community free of charge. Yes, FREE! Sharing the enjoyment of music and the performing arts is at the heart of the mission of Lochwood Academy for the Performing Arts. We are the only music school of its kind in the area that offers a FREE class to all students to introduce them to the arts, and we are proud of that distinction. This class is open to students of all levels, abilities, and knowledge of music. We encourage anyone who has an interest in the performing arts to participate in this exciting class.

Session 1 - Grade 2-5 is filled. Please check the website for the dates of Session 2.
