Mindy credits her long time clarinet teacher, Dr. Lynn Musco, with giving her a strong technical foundation which has allowed her to perform all over the world. Mindy's other notable teachers have included Dr. Ann Adams and Nadeen Frankhouser, who was a substitute clarinetist for WICKED on Broadway. In addition to these amazing teachers, Mindy has studied with and/or performed under the direction of Josh Langston, PL Malcolm, Frank Taylor, Dr Scott Tobias, Dr. William A Gora, Johnny Fuller, and Camp Kirkland. Mindy has performed in some of the major Concert Halls around the world including, Sydney Opera House in Australia and Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, Russia. In addition. she has performed in Scotland, Italy, and Dallas, Tx with New Life Symphony Orchestra, where she flew in, played a concert, and flew out in one day. She has played with Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and North Carolina Symphony Orchestra where she accompanied Allen Vizzutti (trumpet).In 2011, Mindy joined Lochwood Academy for the Performing Arts as Office Manager and clarinet/piano teacher which prepared her for a promotion to Director of Lochwood Academy in 2024. At Lochwood, Mindy has created curriculum and taught group piano for ages 4-7 in addition to teaching piano and clarinet.
